SOUTH GAA NOTES
RETURN TO ACTION: All GAA clubs in South Limerick were thrilled to return to the fields of play during the past week., in fact a number of clubs have challenge games played and planned to date in preparation for the forthcoming County Considerable efforts were put in by officers of all the the clubs, across each sector – Adult and Juvenile, Ladies Football and Camogie, over the past few weeks to prepare and plan for this return. There are significant requirements on all clubs, South GAA are very appreciative of the number of parents and coaches who have stepped forward to become Covid Compliance Officers for each team. We ask all clubs and members to do their utmost to comply with the requests of these officers. Together we will ensure that we all play our part in ensuring the safety of all members. We wish every team the best in their respective competitions.
County Championships games to get underway on weekending 26th. July
The revised Draws for the various County Hurling & Football Championships were made recently, hereunder are the Co. Hurling Championship (First Round ) fixtures involving clubs from the Division Teams. The County Football Championship games will get underway weekending 16th. August

South Junior ‘B’ Hurling & Football Championships
At a South GAA CCC Meeting held on Tuesday 30th. June, a decision was made to commence the South Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship on Tuesday 28th. July and the Junior ‘B’ Football Championship will commence on Tuesday 18th August. The meeting also decided to cancel both Junior ‘B’ Hurling & Football Leagues this year because of time constraints. It was agreed that all other South Championship games be put on hold at the present time.
