South GAA Committee Notes:

At a meeting of Coiste Luimni Theas held on Thursday evening last May 30th. the Junior ‘B’ Hurling and Football Draws 2024 were ratified as follows :

Football:
There will be 1 Group of 4 teams for the South t Junior ’ B’ Football Championship to be played on a round robin League system during the month of July . Top two teams meet in the Final.

Round 1. Galtee Gaels v Galbally,
Knockainey v Bruree
Round 2.
Galbally v Knockainey.

Hurling:
There are 8 teams in the South Junior ‘B ‘Hurling Championship which will be played on round robin League system during the month of August, 2 groups of 4. First team in each group go straight through to Semi-Finals, Second & Third place will play in the Quarter Finals.

Camogue Rovers on winning the South Junior ‘A’ League Football League Final defeating Galtee Gaels

Bruree on winning the City West Intermediate Hurling League Final defeating Crecora/Manister

Dromin Athlacca on winning the West Senior Hurling League Final defeating Granagh in the Final

Kilmallock on winning the South Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday evening last defeating Garryspillane in a well contested final by 1.17 to 2.11

Knockainey on winning the South Intermrdiate Hurling Championship on Monday evening defeating Kilmallock in a very well contested game on a scoreline Knockainey 1.19 Kilmallock 2.11..

Aaron Murphy (Hospital/Herbertstown) on winning the Limerick Senior Long Puck in Glencoshbinnia Walk Trails, Aaron will now represent Limerick in the Munster Long Puck Competition.
