Limerick Senior Footballers will play Louth in Allianz Football League Division 3 Final, its only a short 15 months when in October 2020, Limerick were promoted from Division 4 to Divisiion 3 when they scored a Round 7win over Sligo to gain promotion.
2022 saw wins over Longford, Antrim. Wicklow Laois and Femanagh, with loses to Louth and Westmeath to finish in second place to Louth,
When the sides met in Round 3 on a wet and windy Saturday 20th. Febbruary in a game that was transferred to UL North Campus at very short notice because TUS Gaelic Grounds was unplayable. It was the home side aided by the wind that lead at the interval by 0.08 to 1.04. The second half saw Louth get on top and registered 7 unanswered points to score 1.14 to 1.12 win.
So Croke Park on Saturday as part of a double header lets all hope Limerick can lift the Allianz Football League Division 3 title at just after 6pm
