UCC 0-19 Queens 3-10 – UCC win 7-6 on penalties

David Garland scored 3-3 as UCD advanced to the quarter-finals of the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup.
John Divilly’s attacking team shrugged off Ulster University’s resistance to emerge 7-8 to 3-10 victors.
At half-time UCD led 4-3 to 1-5 and it was similarly entertaining after the restart.
Garland (3), Daire Cregg (2), Paul Tolan, and Pearse Ruttledge struck goals for UCD.
Conor Cush (2) and Ryan Jones scored goals for Ulster University.

There was no shortage of drama in Abbotstown either as UCC eventually overcame Queen’s University following a penalty shootout.
Queen’s scored three goals during a dramatic match, but UCC were industrious throughout.
A shootout was required, but Billy Morgan’s charges prevailed.

DCU Dóchas Éireann 2-21 Mary I 2-18

Jeffrey Lynskey’s University of Galway carved out another impressive 2-23 to 1-13 Electric Ireland Fitzgibbon Cup win over SETU Waterford in Dangan.
With Evan Niland, who finished with a 0-12 haul, sharp in attack the home team dominated the opening period to lead 1-14 to 0-6 at the interval.
Alex Connaire struck University of Galway’s first half goal with Jack O’Meara adding a second major in the closing stages to seal the deal.

In Limerick DCU Dóchas Éireann claimed a 2-21 to 2-18 victory over Mary I.
A goal in the closing stages from a long range free from DCU goalkeeper Eddie Gibbons proved to be a vital score.
Devon Ryan registered 1-9 for Mary I with Declan McLaughlin contributing 1-3, but it still wasn’t enough.
Ross Banville nailed eight points for DCU with Richie Lawlor clipping 1-1
