Irish Wire Products Ltd County Senior Football Championship:
Commiserations to our Senior Footballers, who were defeated by Monaleen, last Saturday evening, in Round 1 of the Irish Wire Products Ltd County Senior Football Championship. While down a couple of our regulars on the night, we entered the halftime interval in Croom, trailing on a score line of 0-06 to 0-11. Unfortunately, we were hoping to close the gap, with the aid of a slight breeze in the second half, however once Monaleen tagged on a goal there was no way back for the men in blue. The final score finished Rathkeale 0-13, Monaleen 1-19. Best of luck to the players and management as they will continue with their preparations for Round 2, when they take on near neighbours Adare, on Friday, August 15th in Askeaton, with a throw-in time of 7pm.
Woodlands House Hotel County Junior A Hurling Championship Group 2:
Best of luck to our Junior A Hurlers, who will kick off their championship campaign against Ahane, on Sunday, August 3rd, with a throw in time of 7.00pm in Adare.
June’s Club Limerick Draw Result:
After the deferral of the June Club Limerick draw, which was pushed out by a week for technical reasons, we would like to congratulate our 3 local winners. Congratulations to Ethel Naughton, who won the 15th prize of €200, Eoin Duggan claimed the 19th prize of €200, while Adrian Stackpoole won the 28th prize, again €200. Well done to you all. Kellogg’s Cul Camp:
Well done to all the kids and coaches who were involved in the recent Kellog’s Cul Camps which were held in the Bog Garden. The kids enjoyed a fantastic week, with great sunshine, while the highlight was meeting our local Tailteann Cup Stars, Barry Coleman, Andrew Meade and Adam Shanagher, in advance of their final in Croke Park.
