Intermediate Footballers Bow Out of Championship
Rathkeale’s Intermediate Championship Season came to an end unfortunately last Saturday evening. Gerald Griffins provided the opposition in the this Quarter Final affair in Newcastlewest, however it was the Rathkeale lads that settled the quicker and they entered the half time interval leading on a scoreline of 0-10 to 0-06. On the resumption they continued playing good football and led on a scoreline of 0-14 t0 0-08 entering the last 15 minutes. Unfortunately, that would remain Rathkeale’s last score and it was Gerald Griffins that drove on and looked the hungrier scoring 7 points on the bounce, to remarkably win by 0-15 to 0-14. Best of luck to Gerald Griffins as they advance into the Semi-Final. Rathkeale’s season isn’t quite over yet and will play Ballysteen on Sunday, September 15th at 3pm in Newcastle west in the West Senior Championship Semi Final.
Club Limerick Draw Winners
Heartiest Congratulations to both Brendan Kennedy and Patrick O’Donovan who secured the respective prizes of 1st and 3rd in the recent Club Limerick Draw. As a result Brendan & Patrick collect a whopping €10,000 and €2,000 each. Well done to the both of you!
