Rathkeale GAA Club Notes:

Deepest sympathies to all the Sparling family, on the sad passing of Ron Sparling. Ron was a lovely man, late of Main Street Rathkeale, who helped out the Club in many ways over the years, especially transporting players and mentors to matches back in the good old days. A great character who will be missed. Everyone within the Club is thinking of the Sparling family at this difficult time. May Ron RIP.

Following the fantastic success over the last couple of months from the Intermediate Football County Champions, coupled with the marvellous victory from the U-20 Football County Champions, we are delighted to announce our upcoming Victory Dinner Dance, which will be held on Sunday, February 2nd at 7.30pm (Bank Holiday Weekend), at Rathkeale House Hotel. Special Guest will be Billy Lee, with Matt O’Callaghan acting as MC on the night. Music will be provided by Mr. Swingman plus a DJ. Tickets are priced at €50 and are available from any Committee Member. With the wonderful successes of 2024, tickets are selling quickly, so ensure you purchase your tickets over the coming days.

AGM:

Please note that the Club’s AGM will be held this Monday, January 27th at 8.30pm, in Rathkeale House Hotel. We look forward to seeing as many of our members there as possible.

Limerick Senior Football Announced:

Following a fantastic 2024 for the Rathkeale Footballers, being promoted to Senior status, well done to Adam Shanagher, Andrew Meade, and Barry Coleman, who all have been selected for the Limerick Senior Football Panel. Also, heartiest congratulations to Barry, who has been nominated as joint Vice Captain for the season ahead. Well done to you all, a fantastic achievement.

Player’s Fundraiser – Deadline on Friday!:

Rathkeale GAA Adult players are running a fundraiser to help with costs for the year ahead. The fundraiser is run on a knockout basis based on Division 1 and 2 of the Allianz Football League 2025.

Pick a team from each round to win their respective game. Once you pick a team, you cannot pick them again. Send all 7 teams to Dean on 087-7169732 before the closing date of Friday 24th January. €10 entry fee which can be paid via Revolut. The overall winner will receive €300! Team Selections are available on our Social Media Platforms.
