Rathkeale GAA Club Notes:

Facilities Open Night:
Rathkeale GAA Club would like to invite all our members, players, management teams, sponsors and supporters to our Facilities Open Night, which will be held in The Bog Garden, this Friday evening, September 27th, at 6.00pm.
The Club has made great progress in enhancing our facilities over the last number of years, through your generous donations with fundraisers, and also through the very generous sponsorship of Sean Hennessy Electrical Superstores. As well as the unveiling of the new stand, pathways, fencing etc, we will also be showcasing our new electronic scoreboard, which was kindly provided and sponsored by Sean Hennessy Electrical Superstores.
Snacks and soft beverages will be provided by Bloomers Cafe Restaurant & Caterer’s on the evening, and we hope to have a few of our local politicians in attendance. So please slot the occasion into your diaries, and we hope to see you on Friday evening.

Junior A Hurlers Advance to the Quarter-Final Stage:
Well done to our Junior A Hurlers, who advanced to the Quarter Final stages of the Championship, by beating Blackrock on a scoreline of 2-19 to 0-5 in Feenagh, last Saturday. This was a must win game for our lads, and with Patrickswell and Garryspillane drawing in a thriller, this meant Rathkeale advanced to the knock-out stages. Rathkeale will now play Templeglantine, on October 5th, at 1.00pm in Newcastle West. Best of luck to the team and management in that fixture.

Intermediate Footballers:
Continue Good Run
Well done to our Intermediate Footballers, who have enjoyed a good group run in the Championship, with Rathkeale topping the group with 9 points, when they beat Pallasgreen on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-05 in their last game. Rathkeale now advance to the semi-final, which is scheduled for the weekend of October 19th/20th, when the boys in blue will play the winners of Newcastle West V Claughaun. Best of luck to the team and management with their continued preparations.
