Intermediate Footballers Off to a Winning Start

Well done to our Intermediate Footballers who commenced their long awaited Championship season, with a winning start over Mountcollins last Thursday evening. Newcastlewest hosted the opener, on a well presented playing surface where it was Rathkeale who were the dominant outfit from the start. Rathkeale entered the half time interval leading on a scoreline of 0-08 to Mountcollins solitary point. Mountcollins improved in the second half, however Rathkeale proved to be much stronger on the night, running out worthy winners on a scoreline of 1-14 to 1-05. Well done to everyone involved on the night. Rathkeale will now play Claughaun on Sunday evening, August 30th in Adare. Throw in time is 6.00pm.

Minor Hurlers

Well done to our Minor Hurlers of Croagh/Kilfinny Rathkeale who enjoyed a comprehensive victory over Granagh\Ballingarry, on a scoreline of 3-11 to 0-12 last Friday evening. We have now secured 4 points from two games in Group 2, and we can now look forward to a Quarter Final against Askeaton, full fixture details listed below. Well done to all.

Junior A Hurling Championship

After 3 defeats from the opening 3 rounds against Templeglantine, Feenagh & Ballybricken/Bohermore, it is fair to say we are under pressure in this championship. The lads are training in decent numbers and the upcoming games against Monaleen & Kileedy are on the horizon. See details below of upcoming games.

Club Limerick Draw – Congratulations Vincent O’Grady & Eddie Lawlor

Congratulations to Vincent O’Grady who won the top prize in the July Club Limerick Draw, to earn himself a whopping €10,000 and also to Eddie Lawlor who won €100. Both men were presented with their winnings in The Bog Garden by Tom White and Pat Sheahan. We hope that they enjoy their winnings! The August Draw will include the Exclusive Star prize which is a round of golf for two, with caddies included, in Adare Manor & Golf Resort. Best of luck to all our current members, and remember it’s never too late to join!
