Club Limerick Draw – Congratulations Vincent O’Grady
Congratulations to Vincent O’Grady who won the top prize in the July Club Limerick Draw, to earn himself a whopping €10,000. This continues Rathkeale’s great run in the draw where we have had many winners of the top prize over the years. Congratulations to Eddie Lawlor also who won €100.
We hope that both men enjoy their winnings! The August Draw will include the Exclusive Star prize which is a round of golf for two, with caddies included, in Adare Manor & Golf Resort. Best of luck to all our current members, and remember it’s never too late to join!
Junior A Hurling Championship – Rathkeale Open with a Defeat
Our Junior A Hurlers kicked off their Championship season last Sunday evening when they took on
Feenagh\Kilmeedy in Round 1 in Knockaderry. It wasn’t our night unfortunately, and we entered the half time interval trailing 1-05 to 0-3, with all our points coming from the hurl of Shane Hourigan Feenagh\Kilmeedy resumed the second half and once again proved to be the stronger team, running
out worthy winners on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-06. Rathkeale will now meet Templeglantine in Round 2, this Friday evening, July 31st in Quaid Park. Throw in time is once again 7.00pm. Match tickets will be available in Tom White’s shop from Wednesday evening. Best of luck to all involved.
U21 Hurling Championship
Our U21 Hurlers of Croagh\Kilfinny Rathkeale played out their final group match last Wednesday evening, knowing that they had little chance of advancing through to the knock out stages. Credit to Croagh\Kilfinny Rathkeale however, who put in a good performance on the night, ran out winners on
a scoreline of 0-12 to 0-08 to draw an end to their campaign.
