Limerick GAA – big response to “Great moments” callout
As part of the Gaelic Grounds modernisation programme, Limerick GAA recently invited fans to submit their views on the graphics to be celebrated in the arrivals area of the Mackey Stand.
“The response has been very encouraging and very heartening” said Chairman John Cregan this week.
“It`s amazing, when we take time to reflect on our history in Limerick GAA, that there have been so many iconic moments, that mean so much to so many, in a sporting, family or community context.
We are really looking forward now to capturing these moments and celebrating them with the appointed images at the Gaelic Grounds. “
Limerick GAA recently announced a short term modernisation and rebranding programme for the Gaelic Grounds which includes installation of new toilets, new shops and food offerings, deep cleaning and painting of the Mackey Stand area, and upgrading of the VIP areas of the stand.
“It was very important for us that the supporters and fans would have their say in this and thus the survey. If it got people talking about great moments from Limerick GAA around the city and county then all the better.
“Ultimately it`s about demonstrating that we have great pride and great tradition in our games and in our teams and that every Limerick supporter is engaged and is a part of that.
The improvement works will be completed by mid May and this will include the newly curated imagery and graphics currently being surveyed for.
Survey forms are on the Limerick GAA website and social media channels
“We have appointed Limerick marketing agency The Pudding Brand to work with the Gaelic Grounds Committee on this project” added Mr Cregan
The closing date for receipt of survey submissions is 5 pm on Tuesday 6th March and all submitted surveys will be included in a draw for a Family ticket to the Munster Hurling Championship Final (2 Adults & 2 Children) plus 2 Adults Limerick Jerseys and 2 Kids Jerseys for the game
