Patrickswell GAA Club Notes:Camogie:
Patrickswell reached the Munster Junior Camogie Championship Final after securing a hard-fought victory over Cillard of Kerry. The first ten minutes were played at a ferocious pace as Patrickswell outpointed Cillard by 0-5 to 0-3 (Sarah Fitzgerald, Roisin O’Brien 0-2, Teresa Dore and Leah O’Carroll). Over the next twenty minutes, the ‘Well held Cillard scoreless while notching six points ourselves (Sarah Fitzgerald, Rachel O’Grady 0-2, Leah O’Carroll 0-2 and Teresa Dore). The prospects were looking rosy, until Cillard scored a goal and a point just before the interval. The Patrickswell advantage was trimmed to 0-11 to 1-4.
The second half was extremely low scoring. Patrickswell were in the box seat by the 57th minute after Leah O’Carroll, Roisin O’Brien and Rachel O’Grady cemented a six-point margin of 0-14 to 1-5. There were jitters when Cillard scored their second goal to slash the arrears to three points. Patrickswell managed to hold its nerve and Roisin O’Brien’s late point ensured a four point victory of 0-15 to 2-5. The Munster Final will be against Clooney-Quin of Clare.

The club lotto draw on Monday November 3 was not won. The numbers drawn were 2, 6, 20 and 31. The bonus number was 15. The €50 lucky dips were won by Jack Loftus and Marie Franey, while the €20 prizes were claimed by Luke O’Neill, Annette Harmon, Jamesie Shanahan, John Brennan, Timmy Toomey and Mike Prendeville. This week’s jackpot is €5,000.
