Patrickswell GAA Club Notes:

Patrickswell are scheduled to meet Kildimo-Pallaskenry in the City Hurling League on Saturday April 5 at 4.00pmin Patrickswell.

Junior Hurlers:

Patrickswell maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a gritty draw at St. Patrick’s in poor weather conditions. Patrickswell roared into a seven-point lead when Liam Fitzgerald scored a goal and two points, while Andrew Carroll & Calvin Carroll notched a point apiece. St. Patrick’s kept the ‘Well quiet for ten minutes and accrued four points without reply. The scoreline on 20 minutes was a lead of 1-4 to 0-4. Thanks to fresh points from Calvin Carroll and Josh Carey, Patrickswell reached half-time at 1-6 to 0-7 ahead.

The second half began badly for Patrickswell as the hosts scored two goals and two points to eclipse Liam Fitzgerald’s brace of points. On 36 minutes, St. Patrick’s led by 2-9 to 1-8and appeared in control. Remarkably, they failed to register a score in the remaining 25 minutes. Patrickswell chipped away at the deficit and secured a valuable draw when Andrew Carroll 0-1 and Liam Fitzgerald 0-3 drew level at 1-12 to 2-9.

Patrickswell GAA and Camogie Club Night was held in the Cu Chulainn. There was a medal presentation to 2024’s Junior A hurling, Minor hurling and Junior Camogie winners. In addition, the Club Person of the Year was awarded to Kevin O’Brien for his hard work and commitment to the club. Declan Gillane was the recipient of a Distinguished Service Award in recognition of years of loyal dedication to hurling and camogie.

Club Membership for 2025 is now open on ClubZap, with prices unchanged from 2024. Every player must pay membership to ensure they are registered with their governing body and covered against injury.

The Club Lotto draw on Tuesday March 25 was not won. The numbers drawn were 19, 26, 27 and 31. The bonus number was 9. The €50 Lucky Dips were won by Paudie Maher and Adam Carrig while the €20 prizes were claimed by Jennifer Aherne, Michelle Carey, Megan, John & Ben Adams, Stephen & Maudie Hunt, Killian Ryan and Geraldine Kirby. This week’s jackpot is €19,400.
