Patrickswell GAA Club Notes:
Intermediate Camogie:
Our Intermediate camogie team won the Division Two Cup Final against Croagh Kilfinny. With the aid of a strong breeze, Patrickswell surged 1-10 to 0-2 ahead by half-time. There was a comeback in the second half by Croagh Kilfinny, but Patrickswell weathered the storm and secured a 1-13 to 1-8 triumph. Congratulations to the players and management.
Senior Hurlers:
The Senior hurlers participated in the Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland Sevens. In the group stages, Patrickswell lost the opener to Bennettsbridge, but rallied to beat Liam Mellows and Coolderry. In the quarter-final, we were pipped by Ballyhale Shamrocks.
Underage Hurling Championship:
Patrickswell visit Askeaton on Thursday July 6 at 7.30pm in the U-19 Hurling Championship.
Fundraising:
Patrickswell’s Senior hurlers, in association with Milford Care Centre, are currently selling chocolate bars with Golden Tickets inside for €5. Milford Care Centre will receive 50% of the proceeds. If you get a golden ticket, you are in for a prize. The top prize is €500 cash, with other prizes to be announced. Prize winners will be revealed in Punch’s Bar on August 12.
Club Lotto:
The Club Lotto draw on Monday June 26 was not won. The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 29 and 32. The bonus number was 22. The €100 Lucky Dip was won by Shauna Coleman and the €20 prizes were claimed by Ted Hedderman, Gillian McCarthy, Mary Moore, Pat Glynn and Louise Foley. This week’s jackpot is €6,200.
