PATRICKSWELL AND DOON TAKE POINTS IN PREMIER UNDER 21 HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP
In very unfavourable weather conditions the Premier Under 21 Hurling Championship got underway on last evening (Tuesday) where Patrickswell scored an eight point win, 2.11 to 0.09, over City rivals Na Piarsaigh in Group 1, at Mck Neville Park while at the Gaelic Grounds in Group 2 East rivals Doon and Murroe Boher were in opposition, Doon were the early pacemakers building up a commanding lead in the early stages and registered a 2.17 to 1.07 win.
On next Saturday 3rd. Febrauary, there are two more games down for decision. Adare meet Mungret St Paul’s in Group 1 at Clarina and in Group 2, Garryspillane play Ahane in Cappamore Both games are fixed for 3pm.
