NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUES: Heartbreak was the word to describe both senior men and ladies football national league finals last weekend. Brian Fanning and Aaron O’Sullivan were on the losing Limerick senior football side who lost narrowly to Louth 1-14 to 0-12 in Croke Park. The Limerick ladies fought a titanic battle with Offaly in Birr only to lose on a high scoring encounter by 3-12 to 4-4. Caoimhe Butler and Sarah Dillon were members of the side.
