U13 HURLING CO FINAL REPLAY: Even though it was a very low scoring encounter in the replay with St Kieran’s last Sunday morning in Kilbreedy, this was a pulsating game. From the throw in the battle for supremacy was very evident with no quarter asked or given. Fog, sunshine did not deter these youngsters who were roared on by a large group of supporters. The western outfit got off to a better start and led by 0-2 to 0-1 at half time. The second half was another tight affair but a goal by St Kieran’s just on the stroke of the second water break was a cruel blow and left the scoreline 1-2 to 0-2. Pallas rallied and brought it back to two points following points from Conor O’Dwyer and Jack McConnell 1-2 to 0-3, with time running out Pallas had one last effort with a free on the 21metere line but the shot was stopped and St Kieran’s took the title. What a titanic and gallant efforts by these young warriors who wore the jersey with great pride. JB HURLING: The Junior B Hurlers recorded an fine win over Murroe-Boher last Sunday morning in Boher in the Brian Butler Cup by 1-21 to 2-13.
