PALLASGREEN GAA CLUB NOTES.
INTERMEDIATE HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP: The intermediate hurlers booked their place in the knockout stages of the competition following a 1-22 to 1-16 victory over Hospital-Herberstown in Kilteely last Sunday afternoon. An indifferent performance which saw Pallas play some wonderful hurling and at times find themselves vulnerable to leave the opposition back into the game. At the first water break Pallas led by 0-10 to 0-4 and at the half time whistle led by 1-15 to 0-9, the goal coming from Brian Fanning. After the resumption Hospital-Herberstown scored four unanswered points to reduce the deficit. Pallas rallied again and points from Colin Ryan, Seamus Mulcahy and Brian Fanning but daylight between the sides. By the second water break Pallas led by 1-19 to 1-13 and never looked like losing this tie, the game petered out to finish on a scoreline of Pallas 1-22 Hospital-Herberstown 1-16.
