Pallasgreen GAA Club Notes:

Congratulations:
Congratulations to Colin Ryan (M) who lined out in goals for the Limerick Senior Hurling Team as they took on Clare in the Munster Senior Hurling league against Clare in Tulla last Saturday afternoon. The game ended with home side edging it by two pints. Congrats also to Padraic Phelan who started with the Limerick Senior footballers as they played Tipperary in the McGrath Cup in Rathkeale last Friday night, unfortunately the game didn’t go Limerick’s way as the went down by 0-4 to 0-15. An interesting name on the Limerick team was Brendan Carr of Dunmore. Brendan have a massive Pallasgreen connection as his father Jim Played for the club and his grandfather Brendan won a Co junior hurling medal in 1968 with Pallasgreen. Well done to Katelyn O’Dea who has been selected on the Limerick U16 Camogie panel and we wish her and the Limerick team the best of luck going forward.

Honoured:
Congratulations to Breda McGuinness who was honoured with an East Limerick Gaels Award for her outstanding service and commitment to the Pallasgreen LGFA over the past decade. It’s an award well deserved, from 2015 to 2024, Breda served as the club’s secretary, proving herself to be an exceptionally hardworking, organised, and deeply respected administrator. Her influence didn’t stop there she continues to play a vital role in the club as PRO and Registrar. Under her stewardship, the club has grown from a modest 18 playing members to an incredible 186 players today, a testament to her commitment, vision, and relentless drive. Breda is one of those rare people whose generosity of spirit enriches every group she touches. She gives freely of her time, her energy, and her heart, not only to the GAA, but to her entire community. Also on the night Michael Quirke was honoured as the Knockane GAA Club recipient.
