Co Inter Hurling Championship:
Pallas intermediate hurlers now face an anxious wait regarding their championship status following a narrow two-point defeat to Feohanagh/Castlemahon in Ballyagran on Sunday afternoon. This was the final game of the group stage, and a positive result was required to help preserve our place at intermediate level.
Despite the disappointing outcome, the team can take great pride in what was arguably their finest performance of the campaign. With a strong effort across the field, the lads hurled with determination and purpose from start to finish.
Playing with the aid of the elements in the opening half, Pallas put together a solid display but trailed narrowly at the break, 1-6 to 0-8. The concession of a goal just before halftime proved a key moment, but the players regrouped well for the second period.
The second half was a fiercely contested affair, with Pallas showing great spirit and upping their intensity. The game remained in the balance right up until the final few minutes, with both sides trading scores in a tense finish. However, two late points from the western side ultimately proved decisive, sealing a 1-14 to 0-15 victory for Feohanagh/Castlemahon.
While the result was not what was hoped for, the effort, work rate, and commitment on display give plenty of encouragement for the future. The team left everything on the pitch and can hold their heads high. Team T. McMahon, D. O’Dea, K. McMahon, N. McNamara, K. Barry (0-1), T. Hourigan, K. O’Donnell, T. Franklin, P. Roche, P. Phelan, D. Fanning (0-1), D. Murphy, B. Fanning (0-1), C. McMahon (0-8), M. McKenna (0-3). Sub: A. Greene.

U14 Camogie Team Crowned Thomond Cup Champions:
Congratulations and well done to our fantastic U14 camogie team who captured the Thomond Cup in dramatic fashion last Saturday morning in Cappamore. On a wet and windy morning, conditions were far from ideal, but the girls showed incredible spirit, determination, and resilience to overcome both the elements and a strong opponent. With plenty of drama throughout, the game went to extra time, where our girls dug deep and produced a brilliant final push to secure a memorable and hard-fought victory. This was a truly deserved win and a testament to the hard work and commitment shown by both the players and the management team all season. The Thomond Cup is a prestigious honour, and lifting it is a proud moment for everyone involved in the squad and the wider club.
