Quid Games Fundraiser:
Pallasgreen GAA Club will launch its major fundraising venture this Saturday Night Aug 23rd in Powers Bar at 9pm. QUID GAME is a series of skills based games, testing contestants patience, creativity and problem solving skills. The games are elimination style – the aim of the game is to be the last person standing to be in with a chance to win a cash prize for you and your chosen charity! Keep an eye out for events happing over the next couple of weeks and please support. Contestants taking part will be from all corners of the community including a special guest contestant. It’s going to a fun, entertaining night and not to be missed. Quid game will take place on The October Bank Holiday weekend Sunday 26th in the Ballykisteen Hotel. More details to follow in the next few weeks. All proceeds from this event going towards the extensive field development, Stand and walk way Development announced earlier in the year. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome. Let The Games Begin.
Co Inter Football Championship:
Well done to Intermediate footballers who defeated Gerald Griffins in the second round of the county championship at Ballingarry last Friday evening. In a tight and tense affair, the scores were level at the break 0-7 to 1-4. In the second half Pallas showed tremendous heart and determination, with five points down with time almost up, they somehow cut the deficit and take the lead to claim the points by 1-12 to 3-5. East JB Hurling Championship:
The junior B Hurlers put up a gallant performance against Murroe-Boher last Tuesday evening in balmy Boher. In an entertaining encounter Murroe-Boher led at the break 0-12 to 0-10. The second period again very little separated the sides with Murroe-Boher came out on top by the minimum 0-21 to 1-17.
