Pallasgreen GAA Club Notes:

The Juvenile club held their annual medal presentation in the Community Centre last Sunday evening. Before a fine crowd of children and parents, chairman Pat Blackwell welcomed everybody and praised all the coaches and parents for their service and time during 2024. He said that despite not winning any major titles in 2024, the club was very competitive in all competitions. Medals were given out to various teams and were presented by their trainers/coaches. U6’s, (Trainers Kevin Dillon, Alan Dillon). U8’s, (Trainers Darren Kavanagh, Sinead O’Dwyer, John O’Dwyer, Chris McMahon). U10’s (Trainers, Stephen O’Neill, Diarmuid O’Dwyer, Cora Blackwell). The individual awards went to the following;  U12 Christy McMahon Memorial Player of the year; Joe Kirby. U14 Michael O’Donoghue Player of the year; Sean Hourigan. U16 Maurice O’Brien memorial player of the year; Charlie Stokes. Jimmy Fanning sponsored most improved player of the year; Paddy Hourigan.

The intermediate hurlers took on County Senior champions Doon in the East Senior Hurling league in Doon last week. This was a game that the lads put in a spirited and determined performance against the County champions and with only two points (in favour of Doon) separating the sides at the break, showed their efforts 2-8 to 2-6. The second half Doon always had that edge to keep them in front but credit to Pallas for a gallant effort. Final scoreline Doon 2-16 Pallas 2-10. It was double delight at the Limerick Greyhound Track last Saturday night as both dogs representing Pallasgreen GAA Club and Pallasgreen LGFC won their respective heats. Toolmaker Josepe representing the GAA Club and Jacktaveren Boom representing the LGFC have now qualified for the quarter finals this Saturday night, all support would be welcome.

Following on from the AGM, club membership rates for the 2025 season is as follows; Players €60, Non Player €40, U18 €50 and OAP €20. Membership to be paid on or before March 31st 2025.
