Football Kick Season Off:
Quite literally the field action kicked off last weekend with two football games. The first game was the intermediate football league against Galbally in the North Campus UL. This was a game that didn’t go too well as Galbally proved too strong winning by 5-16 to 0-7.
The second game of the weekend was the East Junior B football league when Knockane took on neighbours Oola in Oola. Again the game didn’t go to plan as Oola ran out comfortable winners by 5-17 to 0-12.
All Ireland Champions:
Congratulations to Emily Franklin who was on the Laurel Hill Colaiste FCJ Junior Camogie team that won the All Ireland Post Primary Schools Junior C Camogie final last Saturday in Kiltale Hurling & Camogie Club in Co Meath. The beat St Pius, Magherafelt Co 2-11 to 1-9. Well done to all concerned
Membership:
Following on from the AGM, club membership rates for the 2025 season is as follows; Players €60, Non player €40, U18 €50 and OAP €20. Membership to be paid on or before March 31st 2025.There will be a number of membership open nights for people to register. Meeting room GAA Pitch, Friday Feb 28th 7-8pm in meeting room GAA Pitch.
