OOLA GAA CLUB NOTES

South Football League.
Oola Senior footballers will compete in the South league this year as there are not enough teams in the East competing. Our opponents for the first game of the year was Ballylanders. The game was played on Tuesday 8th of June in Ballylanders. It took Oola 20 mins to settle into the game with the score at half time Oola 0-4 Ballylanders 0-5. The points in the first half coming from the Bourke brothers Ian and Keith.
The second half saw Ballylanders take a comfortable lead scoring 2 goals before the water break leaving Oola with an uphill battle. The final score was Oola 1-8 Ballylanders 2-11.
Oola had several players making their senior debuts on the night, Tadgh Whelan, Jack Ryan (😎, Luke Hueston and Brendan Barron.

U12 girls played Pallasgreen on Friday night, and got the season off to a very positive start.
Under 8 girls played St.Pats on Friday night in Oola. Wonderful turnout and a great start on their journey playing for Oola. Under 10s also were out against played Pallasgreen on Monday 14th.
Return to play
Training has resumed in accordance with Covid 19 regulations and hopefully it will continue without any more disruption.Return to play will need to be completed prior to coming to training.
Membership 2021
Membership is now open-Player membership €60 ,U19 is € 30.Non-Playing membership is €30.Bord na Og membership is €20.Membership can be paid to club registrar Mixie Ryan.
