Oola played Shannon Gaels Athea on Saturday 9thDecember in Round 3 of the U21 Championship, Oola received a walkover from South Liberties Crecora in Round 2. The game was played on a windy day in Oola, the field was in great condition for the game. The score at half time was Oola 4-2 Shannon Gael Athea 0-7 . Goals coming from Colin O’Grady, Tom Ryan and 2 from Eddie Stokes.
Oola played down the hill in the second half however Shannon Gaels Athea reduced Oola’s lead to 3 points after being awarded and scoring 2 penalties. Kevin Maher scored Oola’s 5th goal of the game leaving the final score Oola 5-8 Shannon Gaels 3-10.
