Oola GAA Club Notes:

East Junior B Final:
Oola faced our neighbours Knockane in the East Final on Sunday 22nd October. The game was played in Cappamore, congratulations to Cappamore on have the field in excellent condition after recent flooding. The game was a tight affair from start to finish with good football on display. Oola lead at the break 0-7 to 0-5. Oola scores coming from 5 different players, Ian Bourke and John Clifford with 2 points each, while Kevin Heuston Tomas Lynch and Conor Whelan scored 1 point each.
The second half saw Knockane level with Oola after 15 minutes, both teams exchanged points until Knockane took the lead 0-10 to 0-9 with 2 minutes remaining in normal time. Oola worked the ball from their own backline, and some excellent running from Jack Ryan and Pat Ryan Simon the ball was eventually passed to Mark Coleman on the 21, with one thing on his mind Mark buried the ball into the back of the Knockane net. 7 mins of injury time was played with man of the match Tadgh Whelan scoring the last point of the game. Oola victorious on a scoreline of Oola 1-10 Knockane 0-10.
Oola captain Cian McNamara accepted the cup for East Board Chair Ger Lonergan, congratulations to the team and management on a great win.
