Our weekly lotto draw took place on Monday 29th of August in Cronin’s Bar, and the numbers drawn were 01, 14, 21, 22. There was no winner so next week’s jackpot will be €7,000 and will take place in Lee’s Bar.
The lucky dip winners of €40 each were Pat Scanlan (Ballyhahill), Paudie Kenneally (c/o Mary Kenny), Molly Creedon (Castlemahon), Declan O’Keeffe (online), Reva Riordan (Castlemahon).

Adult Football
Well done to our senior footballers on their 4th round football championships victory over Claughaun in Miok Neville Park, where they victorious on a scoreline of 1.16 to 0.6, with the prolific Mike McMahon getting the all important goal. This result leaves us with maximum points from 4 matches, and in the final round on the weekend of the 22nd of September we will face the also unbeaten Fr Casey’s to decide who will top the group.

Hard luck to the Junior footballers who had a second successive 1pt defeat, losing out to Cappagh on a scoreline of 2.9 to 0.14. Our final fixture is againt Kilteelly Dromkeen, and that will take place on weekend of the 22nd of September.
Adult Hurling
The hurling championship returns this week and we will be facing Effin on Thursday the 1st of September in Feenagh, where the throw in will be at 6.15. Feenagh is also the venue for the 5th round fixture, where we will be facing Bruff on Thursday the 8th of September. Best of luck to all involved.
U17
Hard luck to our U17 hurlers who lost out to Kilacolla Gaels in Ballyagran on Monday the 29th of August. Their final group game will be against Belville Gaels on Wednesday the 31st of August in NCW. Next up in football will be St Senan’s on the 12th of September.
We have very few on the age at U17, so there is a huge dependency on U14-16 for this squad, and the efforts of all involved is much appreciated.
All Ireland U16 hurling weekend
Well done to Diarmuid Lyons and Cathal Hayes who were part of the Limerick U16 panel who won the All Ireland U16 tourament at the weekend! Diarmuid had the added honour of captaining the victorious side. Huge congratulations to both from all involved in NCW GAA.
U15
We have played all of our competitive matches at this age grade, training will continue into September and October.
U13
Well done to our U13 hurlers who defeated Granagh Ballingarry on the 25th of August in Newcastle West, and in doing so secured 3rd place in the group. We will now face Patrickswell in the semi final, fixture TBC.
In U13 football we will face Na Piarsigh in NCW on Thursday the 1st of September, to decide who will travel to Kildimo Pallaskeny on the 8th of September in the playoff final. The winners there comes 2nd in the group and move to the championship semi final, and the other 2 sides will enter the Shield semi final.
U11
The U11s were back in action against Na Piarsigh on the football side, and training continues on Thursday nights. Numbers continue to be very impressive at this age, will done to all involved.
U9
Well done to our footballers who travelled to Old Christians in Limerick City on Friday the 26th of August and took part in a blitz involving mainly city teams. Thanks to all the parents who made the effort to travel in. We have another hurling blitz on Friday the 2nd of September, time and venue TBC.
U7
Training continues from 6-7pm on Fridays and blitzes have recommenced on Saturday mornings for this age group, details to provided by coaches at trainings. Well done to all who attended the recent football blitz on Mick Neville Park .
