U21 Hurling:
NCW 0.20 Kildimo/Pallaskenry 0.12
Well done to our U21 hurling squad and management team who defeated Kildimo Pallaskenry in the U21 A Hurling Semi Final, to set up a final encounter with Murroe/Boher. With Kildimo/Pallaskenry having defeated Blackrock on an impressive scoreline of 2.20 to 1.15 in the quarter final, we knew we were up against a quality side and a good start was going to be essential, and the boys certainly delivered that. With 15min on the clock we had raced into a 0.6 to 0.2 lead and we never looked back and relinquished this lead. With Ethan Hurley dialled in on the long range frees and Con Hayes on target upfront we were very efficient in our use of possession and by half time we had built up an impressive lead of 0.10 to 0.04. We picked up where we left off in the second half and scored another 10 points in the half, with Con Hayes and Bryan Nix putting over some wonderful scores, benefiting from the quality of the ball being delivered into them, where the half back line of John Whelan, Ethan Hutley and Todd Ambrose very dominant and Ruadhan O’Connor and Michael Cremin commanding in front of them in midfield.
Well done to all involved and best of luck in the final – please support the boys!
