Na Piarsaigh GAA Club Notes:
Limerick Underage Representation:
We had 4 solid Na Piarsaigh men togged for the Limerick U14’s on Saturday, as they took on Kilkenny in their first challenge game of 2025. Liam Sheehan, Seán Ryan, Paddy McCaul & Adam Butler all proudly donning the green jersey. While with the U15’s, also playing Kilkenny, we had George Stack, Charlie Ryan, Joe Daly and Ronan Gleeson. Charlie had the honour of captaining Limerick on the day. Sean O’Brien continues to excel with the Limerick U16’s, once again lining out against Kilkenny over the weekend.
Limerick Minor Squad & Captain Announced:
Huge congratulations to Alex Kearns, Marcus Murphy, Danny Sheehan, Shane Waters & David O’Keeffe on being selected on the Limerick minors squad for 2025. Special mention to David who will captain Limerick for the season. A huge honour for David, his family, and Na Piarsaigh.
All Adult Games Cancelled Last Weekend:
We received a walkover in both senior and junior B hurling this weekend from Ballybrown and Fedamore respectively. Our intermediate league game against Feohanagh Castlemahon had to be postponed due to an unplayable pitch.
Footballers Return to Action:
Our senior footballers resume their league campaign with a trip to Ballylanders next Saturday afternoon, throw-in at 3pm. Our Junior B footballers are down to play South Liberties on Sunday at 2pm, in Páirc Uí Dromgúil.
Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stakes:
Unfortunately, we did not qualify from our heat in the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stakes last Saturday evening. We would like to thank the McManus family for their continued support of Limerick clubs through this great initiative.
U17 Hurlers Off to a Winner:
Well done to our u17 hurlers who had a good win in the opening round of the U17 league against a very competitive Croom Ballybricken Bohermore side on Sunday evening. Final score: Na PIarsaigh 1-17 Croom Ballybricken Bohermore 1-6.
