Na Piarsaigh GAA Club Notes:
Limerick:
Shane Dowling made his long awaited return to the intercounty stage this weekend, playing close to 80 minutes between the sticks in Limerick’s victory over Tipp. The last occasion Shane donned the Limerick jersey was the All Ireland semi-final defeat to Kilkenny in 2019. While on the losing side that day, Shane still left his mark, scoring an iconic batted goal for the Treaty men. Now lining out at the opposite end, our man once again left his mark. Shane’s puck outs were inch perfect from start to finish, adding a double save on 47 minutes denying Tipp a certain goal. While Shane was making a return to the Limerick jersey, Dylan Lynch was to make his debut at senior intercounty level. Brought on at 66 minutes, Dylan was to make an impression, picking up a yellow card for his troubles. He’ll feature again no doubt.
Underage Academy & Fundamental Movement:
Our Saturday morning academy and fundamental movement made a return for 2025 with over 100 U6’s taking to the field on Saturday morning. As always, our Saturday morning hurling & camogie nursery will continue over the coming months from 10am each Saturday. We also had a hugely successful return of our Monday Night Football which also commenced last week and continues every Monday at 6pm for the foreseeable. New members are always welcome.
