Na Piarsaigh GAA Club Notes:

Minor Camogie:
Our minor Camogie girls had a fantastic win over Monaleen in the county semi final today, winning on a scoreline of 1-05 to 0-03. We now look forward to a final next weekend, details TBC. Well done to all involved. Team Kate Grant, Millie O’Sullivan, Ava Duffy, Lucy Hartnett, Sophie Duggan, Eileen Herbert, Maddie O’Neill, Ava Smith (0-02), Caitlin Ryan, Lucy Murray, Maud Nicholas, Anna Rose Benson (0-01), Emma Kennedy (1-00), Emma Doherty (0-02), Aoibheann Gardiner.
Subs: Katie O’Rahilly, Megan Reidy, Aoife Cross, Louise McNamara.
Mentors: Paul Doherty, Aideen McNamara, Rob Grant, Brian Hartnett, Ciara Hartnett.

U20 Football:
Our U20 footballers suffered a loss in round 3 of the championship against Ahane last Wednesday evening in Páirc Uí Dromgúil. The scoreline would suggest that we took a heavy beating but it was a somewhat unusual game where we had no less than 6 opportunities of certain goals that ended up on the wrong side of the posts. In what were ideal conditions for ducks, our opponents made the most of every chance they had at the other end. Final score Na Piarsaigh 1-09 Ahane 5-10.
Unfortunately, we had to concede our final group game last Saturday due to multiple players being tied up with exams. While we couldn’t field at the originally scheduled time, a walkover benefits no one. It’s regrettable that an agreement to refix the game couldn’t be reached with the county board and both clubs.
A word of appreciation for manager Con Daly, selector John Hogan, and coaching team of Gordon Brown, Conor McLoughlin and Ruaidhrí Ó Conaill. The lads put in great work over the last few weeks preparing the squad for the championship and we look forward to a number of the players entering the senior ranks in 2025. Team James Linnane, Harry McGann, Matty Walsh, Aaron Rushe, Ronan Benson, Adam Jordan (0-02), John Robinson, Darragh Jordan, Eoghan Vukovic (0-01), Thomas Fitzgerald (1-01), Leon Power, Louis Murphy, Mark Hogan (0-02), Jim Beary (0-01), Tommy Glynn (0-03, 0-01f). Subs Andrew Stack, Ben O’Regan, John O’Tiarnaigh, Ger O’Tiarnaigh, Shane Downey & Shoaib Ayran.

Congrats:
Huge congratulations to Shane Dowling and his wife, Paula, on their wedding over the weekend! Shane is set to return to the intercounty stage with Limerick in the new year, and we wish him the very best in both married life and the green jersey. Hon the Dow!
