Na Piarsaigh GAA Club Notes:
Senior Hurlers Record Solid Win Over Mungret:
We ran out 10-point winners in the last group game of this year’s senior championship to a young Mungret side. One spectator described the affair as being similar to a box of Quality Street. A couple of Golden Barrels but leaking a bit of panache you would get in a tin of Roses. Dylan Lynch was certainly one of those Golden Barrels, him coming away from today’s game with 1-07, all from play. Mike Casey, Tommy G and Kingers were all rested while Adrian had to sit out due to a hamstring niggle. Shane O’Neill will be looking forward to having all back and available for selection ahead of our semi-final in 3 weeks time. Today also saw Jerome get 40 minutes of action into his legs. Another positive for Shano and his management team. Final score: Na Piarsaigh 2-22 Mungret 1-15.
Team Shane Dowling, Vince Harrington, Gearoid Synnott, Emmet McEvoy, Mike Foley (0-02), William O’Donoghue, Jerome Boylan, Ronan Lynch (0-05, 0-01f), JJ Carey (0-01), Keith Dempsey (0-02), Will Henn, Conor Boylan (0-02), Dylan Lynch (1-07), Daithi Dempsey (0-01), Kevin Downes (1-02).

Under 20 Hurlers Share Spoils with Bruff (13/09/24)
Our U20 hurlers came away with a draw from the opening round of the U20 championship against Bruff on Friday 13th of September last. Playing in our opponent’s back yard, we had a strong breeze at our back in the opening half but were unable to use it to our advantage. Playing into the elements in the second thirty, we battled for a draw in what was a game that could have easily gotten away from us. Our next game will take place on the 18th of October at home to Monaleen. Final score Na Piarsaigh 1-15 Bruff 1-15*
