NA PIARSAIGH

SENIOR HURLERS
Congratulations to our senior hurlers who were crowned County league champions on Saturday evening.
Our opponents on this occasion were Adare following our narrow victory over Garryspillane.
We started extremely well and had the green flag raised twice in the opening minutes.
Our two goals came courtesy of David Dempsey and Tommy Grimes.
The lads were hurling well and it was not long before we raised another green flag courtesy of Kieran Daly.
Further points were added before Adrian Breen all but ended the contest with our fourth goal to leave us 4-9 to 1-6 in front at the break.
We added another 10 points in the second half to add to our tally with the highlight of that half seeing David Breen back on the pitch after a long sabbatical.
In the end, it was a comfortable victory on a 4-19 to 1-13 victory.
Captain Adrian Breen collected the cup on behalf of the team
Well done to all concerned
