NA PIARSAIGH

LIMERICK SENIOR HURLERS
Massive congratulations to the Limerick Senior Hurling team who have qualified for yet another All Ireland Final.
They saw off a massive challenge from Galway yesterday squeezing through with three points to spare.
It was brilliant to see Peter Casey make his long-awaited return to action following his cruciate knee injury along with Cian Lynch and Barry Murphy.
A wonderful headache for John Kiely and the management ahead of the final against Kilkenny.
All four Na Piarsaigh men seeing action on the day with Mike Casey rock solid at the edge of the square along with Will O Donoghue in the middle of the field working tirelessly throughout.
Both Peter and Conor made second-half appearances on yet another memorable day for Limerick.
We look forward with keen interest to the decider in 2 weeks’ time as the scramble begins for the coveted tickets
INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALLERS
Our Intermediate football team opened their Championship account on Friday night when they travelled to Askeaton to take on St Senans in round one.
A very good all-round team performance from the first whistle and one in which we began very well.
Points from Kevin Nolan, Dylan Cronin and Kieran Daly had us three points up inside 5 minutes and playing very well.
St Senans responded with two points of their own but we again opened up a gap with 3 further points, two from Dylan Cronin and one from Kieran Daly to leave the half-time score 6 points to 2 in our favour.
Our defence was playing particularly well superbly marshalled by Diarmuid Ryan, Shane Walsh and Eoghain McNulty in the full-back line who offered good protection for Eoghan Sherlock in goals. Gordon Brown and Ronan Houlihan worked tirelessly in midfield and Dylan Cronin and Kieran Daly provided the all-important scores.
With less than 15 minutes remaining, we led by 7 points but a late flurry of scores by Senan’s took the gloss off a great first-round victory for Na Piarsaigh
Team: Eoghan Sherlock, Diarmuid Ryan, Shane Walsh, Eoghan McNulty, Jack Barry, Cathal McMullen, Evan O Brien, Gordon Brown, Ronan Houlihan, Kevin Nolan, Dylan Cronin, Donal O Conaill, Evan Egan, Anthony Kavanagh, Kieran Daly.
Final Score Na Piarsaigh 0-12 St Senans 0-9
