We completed our 12 Day Skills Challenge on Friday 9th April 2020, and what a 12 days it was!
It was great to see girls of all ages across the camogie club taking up the challenges.
Thanks so much to each and every one of you, and to the parents who followed them around the gardens with their phones, we salute you too!!
Winners: The Easter Eggs winners were Ella, Sadhbh, Ava, Rosa, Sophie, Vivienne, Jayne, Faye, Mia, Nicole, Lorna and Rebecca.
The Judges deliberated hard today to decide who was to win the overall prize of the Canning Hurley. It was a tough decision, as there have been some serious efforts displayed. However, the most consistent participant across the 12 days, taking on each challenge with gusto, could not be overlooked, so congratulations to Rosa!!! We really do have a mighty bunch of girls!
Thank you, Finally, a big thanks to the people who recorded the daily skills for everyone to see. Thanks to Limerick Camogie Goalie, Laura O’Neill who kindly launched the initiative for us and to our coaches Michael Larkin (with Ava) John Page, Alan Browne (with Rosa & Saoirse) Brian Tobin, Mike Lynch and last but not least, player Sinead Madden. The good news delivered by the government last week was that non-contact underage training in pods of 15 will be permitted from April 26th. However, the date is conditional and will very much depend on what happens in terms of the overall COVID-19 picture in the coming weeks. We must continue to comply whole heartedly with the restrictions in spirit and in practice. We thank everyone for their compliance in this regard.
In order to be ready to return we need ALL players and coaches to make sure they are registered with the club before they take to the pitch. You will also be required to fill in the Return to Play form each time a player or coach takes to the pitch.
