U-21 FOOTBALL
Mungret St. Pauls 1-3 Adare 1-19
This was a very one sided game with a last minute change of venue to Adare on Saturday 23 November 2019. This was the last game of the year for the boys as they took to the field in the cold but dry weather.
Adare had a goal and four points built up before Mungret St. Pauls managed to get a scoring ball with 8 minutes left in the first half. Mungret St. Pauls were getting no breaks and when they had a run with the ball they ended up letting it slip into Adares grasps. There was a penalty for Adare in the next four minutes but the ball was sent wide, there were 3 more points for Adare before Mungret St. Pauls struck the ball into the back of the net. Adare scored the last point from a free just on the half time whistle.
The second half saw much the same again with Adare scoring ten points before Mungret St. Pauls got their next ball over the bar in the last five minutes of the game, their last point came with a minute left just after Adare scored their last point of the game.
This team put in a lot of work into the game but Adare were the ones who took their points to win.
CASH FOR CLOBBER
We are back with our cash for clobber again, all bags of clothes, bed linen, curtains, belts and bags can be dropped under the canopy at the back of the club house.
