Congratulations to #MSPCamogies Aisling Carroll (St Nessans NS) who had a fantastic experience on Saturday night when she took to the TUS Gaelic Grounds pitch at half time during the Munster Final to take part in the Primary Games.
Another fantastic memory for Aisling and all her Primary Games team mates on what was an exceptional night of sport.
Limerick Camogie:
Well done to Ailbhe Larkin and the Limerick Senior Camogie team who battled back to draw with Clare in Cusack Park, Ennis on Saturday in the 3rd round of the championship.
Limerick conclude their Group 1 campaign at home to Tipperary on June 21 Limerick 1-09 Clare 0-12. Hard luck to Carol Bateman, Aoife Morrissey and Tara Geoghegan in the second round of their Junior All Ireland Championship. They were narrowly beaten by a strong Louth team. They are out again this weekend at home against Derry. Wishing you and your teammates the best of luck this weekend. Hard luck to our two amazing U14 county players Sadhbh Hanley and Sophie Lynch in their All Ireland Final against Armagh. Just two points was all that separated the two teams on the day. You’ve had an amazing journey and you have done your club, family and friends so proud throughout the year. Well done girls!
Well done to the Limerick Senior Footballers who beat Wexford on Sunday 15 June 2025 to go through to the Semi Final in the Tailteann which will be played in Croke Park. U-14 Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 3-12 Belville Gaels 2-5
Mungret St. Pauls delivered a commanding performance on Thursday evening, Thursday 12 June 2025 in Coolyroe as they overcame Belville Gaels with a 3-12 to 2-5 victory in the U-14 Football Division 3 championship.
From the opening whistle, Mungret St. Pauls looked sharp, playing with confidence and structure. The forwards clicked into gear early, putting early points on the scoreboard. The defense, marshaled impressively, held firm under pressure, forcing Belville Gaels into rushed shots and turnovers. Despite a brief fightback from the hosts, who netted a goal to stay in the contest, Mungret St. Pauls responded immediately with a string of scores that gave them a strong lead heading into halftime.
In the second half, Mungret St. Pauls work rate remained relentless. Their movement off the ball and crisp passing opened gaps in the Belville Gaels defense. Points followed from a range of players, showcasing the squad’s depth and sharp shooting.
Belville Gaels kept battling and grabbed late scores, but it was too little, too late against a well-organized Mungret St. Pauls side that controlled proceedings from start to finish.
This win reflects the excellent progress the squad has made, with strong performances across all lines of the pitch.
