Limerick U14 Camogie:
A proud day for many Mungret families on Saturday as Alannah Robertson, Khloe Begley, Sophie Lynch, Sadhbh Hanley, Ava Reaboi and Ava Larkin wore the green and white of Limerick Camogie for the first time as they kicked off their county careers with the U14s and what better day to do it on, than #InternationalWomensDay
Ballybacon was the place and Tipperary were the opponents for the first challenge matches for the treaty girls this season.
Here’s to a fruitful 2025 for this bunch of talented camogie players and best of luck also to coach Clodagh Reaboi for the year ahead.

Big thanks to Kildimo Pallaskenry GAA & Camogie club for accommodating the squads at such late notice in their Pallaskenry pitch – where the facilities were top notch and a great welcome was given!
U16 Camogie:
A busy weekend for both U16 squads.
First off we had the Bs on Saturday who headed to Ennis to take on Clare in the all Ireland series. The Treaty Girls had a strong win. Well done to MSPCamogies Roisin O’Neill and Saoirse Aherne who played on the day and also FLO Emer Neilan.

Hard Luck to Mungret Community College who took part in the 1st & 2nd Year Post Primary County Final on Friday last in UL north campus vs Castletroy College. Training continues every Tuesday evening at 8pm, new members always welcome.
Junior B Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 0-10 Na Piarsaigh 4-6
On Wednesday 12 March 2025 the Mungret St. Pauls junior B footballers were in Caherdavin where they played Na Piarsaigh who hit the net four times to take the win. This was the second game in the league for Mungret St. Pauls having won the first round.
Mungret St. Pauls opened the score but Na Piarsaigh struck the net early on. Mungret St. Pauls scored a two pointer but it was not good enough to match Na Piarsaighs score as they produced another goal shortly after. The score came back to a point between the two sides before Na Piarsaigh pulled off another goal. While Mungret St. Pauls added on a few more points the goals from Na Piarsaigh sealed the win for them.
Féile Péil na nÓg:
Saturday 15 March 2025 was a busy morning for our U-15 footballers as they headed to Rhebogue where they played the hosts first, it was all level after the first half, it stayed a tight match right up to the final whistle with St. Patricks getting a penalty which would win the game for them, the Mungret St. Pauls goalie managed to deflect the ball away to win the first game.
The win against St. Patricks gave the players confidence to play Monaleen next, this was a great game of football with Monaleen holding a one point lead at the break but they took over in the second half with the first goal scored shortly after the restart, Mungret St. Pauls played well but Monaleen added on two more goals which Mungret St. Pauls could not match.
The last match was against Fr. Caseys where Mungret St. Pauls had to work hard and needed the win. Fr. Caseys had a better first half as they went four points up to one after the first fifteen minutes. The second half Mungret St. Pauls had to pull out all the stops with Fr. Caseys only getting one more point it was Mungret St. Pauls that got the goal in the dying minutes to win by two points and go forward to the Final on Monday 17 March against Monaleen who won all three of their matches.
Mungret St. Pauls 1-3 St. Patricks 0-5
Mungret St. Pauls 0-2 Monaleen 3-4
Mungret St. Pauls 1-4 Fr. Caseys 0-5.
Senior Hurling:
Mungret St. Pauls 3-20 Monaleen 2-20. It was a good day for a hurling match in Monaleens Pea field pitch. It was not the best match for Mungret St. Pauls as they opened their league matches on Saturday 15 March 2025. Mungret St. Pauls started out scoring the first three points but Monaleen soon settled into the game and leveled it before they hit the net for the first time, just after the first quarter Monaleen scored their second three pointer, while Mungret St. Pauls stayed popped over their points it was Monaleen who held the lead with seven points seperating them at half time, 0-11 to 2-12.
The second half saw much the same with Monaleen dominating most of the game but Mungret St. Pauls took their scores when they got a chance. There were two quick goals for Mungret St. Pauls going into the final quarter which followed on by a pointed 65 saw both sides level for only the second time in the game. Monaleen had the last three scores which gave them the win. Our senior hurlers are out again next Saturday when they play Kildimo Pallaskenry at home.
Junior A Hurling:
Mungret St. Pauls 0-9 Monaleen 4-21
Mungret St. Pauls second team played Monaleen in Mungret on Sunday 16 March 2025 in the Junior A Hurling league. It was not the best match with Monaleen dominating from the start Mungret St. Pauls took scores when they could but it was the goals they were not able to stick. They don’t play again until April where they meet Claughaun away.
