County Football and Hurling:
Congratulations to Breandán O’hAnnaidh who was named on the Gaelic Masters team for 2025, we wish Breandán and his team the best of luck this year.
Limerick U-20 footballers took a loss in their first round game when they played Tipperary in Mick Neville Park on Saturday 8 March 2025. Mungret St. Pauls were proud to have Tom Lloyd, Luke Walsh and Captain Diarmaid Hynes playing with Jake Foley currently injured.
The Limerick Celtic Challenge team (U-17 Hurling) played a challenge match on Saturday 8 March 2025 against a Clare team with Limerick paying very well. Well done to Mungret St. Pauls players Rory Gleeson and Rory O’Callaghan who are on the panel, with Rory O’Callaghan being named as captain for the year. Mungret St. Pauls also have Conor O’Brien involved in the coaching.
Coffee Dock and Club Shop:

Congratulations to ULs Intermediate Hurlers who won the All Ireland intermediate championship Wednesday 5 March 2025 overcoming University of Galway.

Limerick Camogie:
Well done to the Limerick Minor Camogie Squad (including our own Jayne Casey) who beat Wexford on Sunday in the All Ireland Minor Championship Round games.
Managed by Diarmuid Ryan, the treaty girls were down 9 – 3 at half time in Mick Nevilee Park, Rathkeal, but pulled it out of the bag going to the wire with a last minute goal! Full time score: Limerick 1:12 Wexford 0:12
Limerick Senior Camogie:
Joe Quaid and his management team named a strong panel to take on Wexford in round 2 of the Very League last Saturday which took place in St Patrick’s Park, Enniscorthy.

U16 B Limerick Squad:
Kudos to the Limerick U16 B development squad took on Kildare in a challenge match at the weekend and were delighted to come away with the win at full time. Well done to the entire panel which includes #MSPCamogies Roisin O’Neill and Saoirse Aherne.

Post Primary Junior Camogie All Ireland Champions!
Big congratulations to Munster Campions Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ on their All Ireland Junior Camogie Final win yesterday!
Saoirse Browne, Eilis and Roisin O’Neill put on a class performance in Kiltale GAA, Co. Meath along with the entire squad against the strong Derry girls of St Pius, Magherafelt.
A shout out must also go to a Mungret strong Management team of Luke Fitzgibbon, Alan Browne and Emer Neilan. Full time score: Laurel Hill Secondary School FCJ 2:11 St Pius X Magherafelt 1-09. Well done crew!
Ladies Football:
Mungret kicked off their 2025 season with a challenge game from Parke Ladies Football Club, Mayo. This was a lively game, Mungret had a team with a mixture of youth and experience. Many thanks to Parke for travelling.
Well to the 6 u16 county players, Róisín O Neill, Eilís ONeill, Emma Somers, Sive Finnerty, Sophia Neville and Maria Conway who lined out against Tipperary last weekend. Despite a narrow loss, The Mungret ladies acquitted themselves very well.
Well done to the 3 Minor ladies who all got game time against a stronger Clare side in Round 1 of the Munster Championship. Despite the result, the Mungret Ladies put in great performances.

The Super6’s resumed their training last Saturday after the Winter break. The training slot is Saturday mornings at 10am in the Astro Ball Wall area. New members always welcome.
Transplant Games:
Well done to all the players involved in the transplant sport Ireland football team who played Northern Ireland on Saturday 8 March 2025. Mungret St. Pauls are delighted to have our own reprehensive, Liam Patterson, being named Captain yesterday for the match.
Cumann na mBunscol:
Well done to St Nessans 4th class team who retained the Cumann na mBunscol A indoor City indoor hurling tournament on Tuesday 4 March 2025. They now go on to play in the county final.
Intermediate Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 1-13 St. Patricks 3-13
On Tuesday 4 March 2025 it was the opening round of the City East South Intermediate Football League when our players travelled to Rhebogue where they were met by a team of similar ability but it was the goals that saw Mungret St. Pauls downfall.
Mungret St. Pauls 0-9 Claughaun 2-11
On Saturday 8 March 2025 the Intermediate footballers saw themselves in Claughaun , with our Senior footballers out at the same time numbers were tight for this game, they put in good game but were unlucky to come up short. They now take a two week break from matches before they play Pallasgreen at the end of March.
Senior Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 3-11 Galtee Gaels 0-7
On a breezy Saturday morning, 8 March 2025 the Mungret St. Pauls Senior footballers took on Galtee Gaels in the second round of the City South Senior Football League, this was played in Mungret. It was a great game for Mungret St. Pauls as they take a second win matching the same score they put up against Monaleen in the first match.
From the start Mungret St. Pauls had the lead and never gave Galtee Gaels too many chances to get close to them with all three goals coming straight from the restart and were all on the referees score sheet in just over ten minutes. They take a two week break from games as they prepare to play Oola in the third round at the end of the month.
