Mungret/St Pauls GAA Club Notes:

Registration:
Mungret St Pauls 2025 Club registration is now open. All registration will take place online through the GAA system Foireann. To pay your membership please go to www.foireann.ie
Membership 2025 fees have increased in all categories to reflect the current costs associated with maintaining and running a club of this size.
The club has invested significantly to improve facilities in recent years and is grateful for the support received from members to do so. Our new floodlit astro pitches are used by all teams from U6 to senior and have been booked out almost every night since they opened. Gym facilities at the clubhouse have been upgraded and are available to all our players over 16 and supervised for our juvenile players. This year will see the club open another new full-sized sand-based pitch on the site of the old ball wall. We have also invested in improving coaching for players at all levels though our partnership with Setanta Sports, who provide strength and conditioning training and expertise for club coaches across all teams in the club.
The above improvements come with ongoing costs. The club has offered one of the lowest membership fees among Limerick GAA clubs for the past number of years, however, maintaining fees at that level is not sustainable. The club is conscious that some of our members might like to avail of a payment plan for their 2025 membership and we have same available which can be paid in 3 instalments, with the first one to be made by the 31st of January 2025 (membership due by this date).
Please note that all membership should be paid by the 31st January 2025. No player can return to training if membership is not paid as they are not covered for insurance.
For those new to the system please find attached User Guide (pdf format) and a helpful video on the following link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WIlCFy771s

Munster Camogie:
Congratulations to Saoirse Browne, Eilis and Roisin O’Neill who on Saturday night, along with their Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ teammates overcame neighbours Laurel Hill Secondary School FCJ in the Munster final in UL.
At half time the game was anyone’s for the taking with an even Stephens score board, but the Colaiste came out fighting in the second half and came away with the well deserved win in the end!
They take on Leinster next on the 8th Feb.
Well done to the girls and Management team on this fantastic achievement.
Great to see so many Mungret supporters there to cheer on the girls, including our Camogie Chairperson Mary Barry Larkin and newly elected Fintan Hynes.

Ladies Football:
Well done to U16 players Maria Conway, Sive Finnerty, Abbey Nealon, Sophie Neville, Eilís O Neill, Róisín O Neill and Emma Somers, who made the Limerick Squad for 2025. Also to Hugh O Neill who is with management. They recently played a challenge match against Laois. Congratulations to the following Minors who made the County squad for 2025, Caoimhe Hennessey, Cameryn Moloney, Grace Morgan, Cáit Murphy and Molly O Mahony.

Fundraising:
Mungret senior hurlers are running a fundraiser for the year. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
The fundraiser is ‘Beat the Drop’. Each week there will be a yes/no question based off of an upcoming match that weekend with the first weeks question being,
“Will Limerick beat Cork in the first round of the national hurling league? “
If answered correctly the person moves to the next week, if not then they’re eliminated. Answers each week will have to be submitted by the Friday night and the next question will be released at the end of that weekend.
Entry is €10 with a prize of €500 for the winner.
Any questions or if you want to get involved contact any of the names on the poster or any senior hurling panel member.
