Mungret/St. Pauls GAA Club Notes:

Limerick Players:

Limerick Camogie U14s:
Well done to the Limerick Camogie U14 Squad who headed to Hospital on Saturday for the Eileen Carmody Blitz, especially our own #MSPCamogie girls Eilis O’N & Saoirse B. A wonderful day of games, with all teams well met & displaying a great standard of camogie.
U-16 Academy footballers played Dublin in a challenge match on Saturday 22 June with the result in Dublins favour. Mungret St. Pauls are delighted to have Amhlaoibh Bohane and Jamie Curtin playing and Jack Dervan unavailable.

U-14 Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 1-6 Claughaun 2-6
Mungret St. Pauls had both the U-14 footballers out at the weekend with the same fate to both teams as they finished with a goal separating them from the opposition.
The U-14 Division 3 were up first against Claughaun, on Saturday evening 15 June 2024, this was a real test for our players as they came up against taller players who were on the age with our second team consisting of mainly 13 year olds. Our players played a strong game of football where they were not afraid to take on a player and used their team mates to get the ball up the pitch. Well done to our players. This was their first loss in three games to the team who are toping the group, Mungret St. Pauls currently sit in fourth place on the table with four games to play.

Mungret St. Pauls 1-8 Fr. Caseys 2-8
The division 1 team were out on Sunday morning, 16 June 2024 when they played Fr. Caseys. This was a good standard of football but it was Fr. Caseys who settled into the game quicker, scoring their first goal gave them the lead Mungret St. Pauls failed to equalize. This was the first loss to the team in three games, leaving them in second place under Fr. Caseys.

Ladies Football:
Well done to the U14 players who competed in the County League Final last weekend. They had a fantastic victory over Knockainey in Ballybricken. They now have a few weeks break, before they eagerly look forward to the upcoming championship, and look to do the double. Once again Heartiest Congratulations to the players and management team on a fine win.

Shannon League:
Our U14s had their Shannon League Plate Semi Final v Newcastlewest at home last Thursday night. Against strong visitors, the girls battled hard to the end, with NCW coming away with the win. The shannon league has been fantastic for this teams development, confidence & skill levels. Captain: Sophie F.
Thanks to referee Seanie Carey, who always brings great integrity, respect & enjoyment to the game of camogie for our girls.
Finally, thanks to all our coaches involved.

Mungret St. Pauls 2-7 Patrickswell 2-2
On Thursday, 20 June 2024 in Patrickswell our Division 3 U-14 hurling team played a great game full of great defending and team work. There were some great scores converted, this team have been putting in great work as a team of mainly 13 year olds playing 14 year olds. They currently sit in second position on their table having just lost one game in four.
