LIMERICK CAMOGIE
The opening round of the Littlewoods National League kicked off on
Saturday 5th Feb when Limerick Camogie took on Kilkenny in John Lockes
GAA, Callan.
Unfortunately, the first game for the Limerick Senior Camogie team
ended in defeat when they were beaten 1-18 to 1-10. The new look team,
of which our very own Ailbhe Larkin played at number 10, put in a
serious effort, but just didn’t come out the right side of the result
against a strong Kilkenny.
The All Ireland Minor Championship (Round 1) also kicked off at the
weekend when the Limerick Minor Camogie team went head-to-head against
Tipperary in Pairc Mhic Ghearailt. It was a tough day at the office
for MSPCamogie player Amy O’Halloran and her teammates, who gave it
their everything in terrible weather conditions. Full time score:
Limerick 0-03 Tipperary 1-15
