MUNGRET ST. PAUL’S GAA CLUB NOTES

SUMMER CAMP
Our 3 day summer camp began on Monday 1 July and ran until Wednesday 3 July. We were delighted to have just under 100 children attending the camp with our own coaches leading the children in the fun filled days.Thank you to our supervisors who without them the camp would not be able to be run so easily- to Kevin, Wanda and Teresa. Well done to our coaches for keeping the children all entertained for the 3 days Ailbhe, Aoife, Brian, Ciara, David, Darragh, Eamonn, Kieran, Niamh, Odhran and Shauna. Each child who attended the camp received a pair of COBI socks and were delighted with the extra treat of icecream along with fruit and water supplied by Centra, Raheen who we thank for their support. It is great to see the children delighted to eat the fruit on offer.

LADIES FOOTBALL – U6 & U8
On Wednesday our U6 and U8 girls travelled to play St. Ailbe’s on what was a glorious evening for football. While our squad was slightly depleted due to holidays, those in attendance were treated to two highly competitive and enjoyable matches, with no shortage of skill and determination on show from all involved.
This was the girl’s fourth outing of the summer after previous games against Monaleen, St. Patricks and Ahane with almost 40 players representing the club at U6 and U8 in this series of games. It has been great to see the confidence of these young players in their own skill and ability grow with each game they play.
With holidays about to begin the girls will now take a well-deserved break now for the month of July before returning to training in mid-August, with more games and blitzes to look forward to in the autumn.
