GROW A MO FOR JOE
Mungret St. Pauls were very saddened to hear of Joe Harringtons passing in October 2022, he was a passionate GAA man who was a great supporter of our club and always available to volunteer, he even took part in our Movember campaign in 2013. No words can describe the immense sense of loss felt by Joe’s passing, he will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, Mungret St Pauls and his home club of Ballinhassig GAA , however he has left us all in a better place for knowing him.
Joe’s wife Aileen, children Liam, J.J. and Rosa were very grateful for the support they received from Mungret St. Pauls members and the staff at Milford Hospice during Joes illness and after his passing. When the players suggested they would like to take part in a Grow a Mo for Joe during the month of November, Milford Hospice was the charity chosen by Joes family.
Mungret St. Pauls would ask that you Grow a Mo for Joe this November and support Milford Hospice who do amazing work for families like the Harringtons. Don’t forget to make your donation and spread the word of the Go Fund me Page.

JUNIOR A FOOTBALL
Mungret St. Pauls 0-10 Granagh Ballingarry 1-12
On Saturday 29 October in Croom our Junior A footballers lined out against Granagh Ballingarry in the final. They knew it would be a tough game in miserable conditions. Our footballers put in a gallant effort but came up short by the final whistle.
Just as the ball was being thrown in the heavens opened and pelted the players for the first ten minutes, there was a strong breeze as well which favoured Granagh Ballingarry for the first half. Mungret St. Pauls kept in touch with Granagh Ballingarry scores with us just one point behind, in the twentieth minute Granagh Ballingarry got the ball past our defences to score a three pointer, they followed this up with another three points leaving a hill for Mungret St. Pauls to climb in the second half.
The first two points were from Mungret St. Pauls but Granagh Ballingarry matched those. There was a chance on an open goal but the kick was a bit too strong and the ball went over the bar for a much needed score, we then went on to score another three points with Granagh Ballingarry only replying to one, Mungret St. Pauls were four points behind. With time running out Mungret St. Pauls needed the scores but Granagh Ballingarry were doing their best to stop all traffic in their half. A final score came from Granagh Ballingarry to seal their win. Mungret St. Pauls did their best but stay in Junior A for next year when our younger players who have done the club very proud will bring the experience of this years games with them to next years championship.
