GOOD LUCK: Best of luck to Monaleen’s representatives involved in the Limerick senior hurling squad who play Dublin in the semi-finals of the Allianz Hurling League at Nowlan Park, Kilkenny on Sunday next, 1.30pm. Andrew la Touche Cosgrave, Lorcan Lyons and Jamie Power are members of the Limerick senior hurling squad, while Brian Geary is a selector with the Limerick side and Paul Kinnerk is team coach.
BEST WISHES: Best of luck to the Monaleen players who are part of the Limerick senior football squad which faces Antrim in Division 4 of the Allianz Football League this Sunday at Newcastle West, 1pm. Donal O’Sullivan is joint-captain with Limerick this year, while he is joined in the squad by Daniel Enright, Luke Murphy, Darragh Kennedy and Brian Donovan.
ANNUAL FUN RUN/WALK: Monaleen Cancer Support Group are holding their 10th annual 5km/10 km Fun Run/Walk on this Sunday, March 24. The start and finish for the event is Monaleen GAA Clubhouse. The 5Km/10Km run starts at 2pm, with the 10Km walk getting underway at 2.15pm. Registration in Clubhouse for all from 11am or online at eventmaster.ie
ALL-COUNTY HURLING LEAGUE: Monaleen senior hurlers are due to face Doon in Division 1 of the all-county hurling league in Doon this Thursday night, March 21, at 7.30pm. Best of luck to the players and management team. All support greatly appreciated.
ALL-COUNTY FOOTBALL LEAGUE: Monaleen senior footballers will take on Dromcollogher-Broadford in Division 1 of the all-county football league this Saturday, March 23, at Dromcollogher-Broadford, 5pm. Best of luck to the players and management team. All support greatly appreciated.
LOTTO RESULTS: The latest Lotto draw took place on Saturday, March 16 with the jackpot standing at €7,800. The numbers drawn were 9, 10, 15 and 23. Winners of €50 lucky dips were D. Hession, Hazelhall; M. Fahy @ Club; H. Conlan, J/A Frawley, Fairways. Tickets can be purchased on a weekly basis from local shops and pubs and the draw is held every Thursday night in the club at 10pm.
FUNDRAISER: The table quiz, which was a fundraiser for our catch nets, and was held in Monaleen GAA Clubhouse on Saturday night, proved a great success. The official launch of the 2019 lotto also took place on the night. Big thanks to the quiz organsiers and all those who supported the event by attending on the night.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP: Club membership is now due and must be paid before March 31. You can pay on-line or to Barry Coffey. Remember only those whose membership was paid in full and on time can be included in the draw for All-Ireland tickets should Limerick go all the way this summer
