Monaleen GAA Club Notes:

The latest Lotto draw took place on Thursday Feb 23rd. The jackpot was €13,200. The numbers drawn were 8, 25, 27 and 32. The €50 lucky dip winners drawn were B. Kileen (Birdhill), R. O’Dell (Kylemore), G. O’Dwyer (Walkers Rd.) and G.Cromie (c/o Club),

Limerick Senior Footballers:
The Limerck senior footballers were defeated last Sunday afternoon by Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Donal O’Sullivan and Brian Donovan were involved.

Limerck Senior Hurlers:
Well done to Donnacha O’Dalaigh and his Limerick teammates who defeated Galway in Salthill last Sunday on a scoreline of 24 points to 19.

Celebration Dinner:
Takes place on Saturday the 25th of March 2023 at The Limerick Strand Hotel. This event will be hosted by Valerie Wheeler. Prosecco Reception followed by Medal Presentation and 4 Course Dinner. Entertainment on the night by The Prophets and DJ Richie. Tickets are on sale now at €70 per person. (See Attached Poster for further details).
For those who have booked their tickets, the organising committee will be at the clubhouse on Tuesday night of this week from 8-9 to issue tickets and accept payment. Revolut and cash can be used as payment.

Monaleen GAA Club membership for 2023 is now due and must be paid prior to 31st of March 2023. Membership must be processed through Foireann at
Please note that only those who are fully paid up adult members prior to the 31st of March can be included in draws for All Ireland Tickets or to have a vote at the club AGM.
Please also note that Juvenile Members and Social Members (including Tennis Club and Golf Society) do not qualify for these entitlements. Any social member may pay the top up to become a full member of the club for ticket or vote purposes, provided the full rate is paid before March 31st.
For 2023, the club has streamlined its membership rates as follows:
All Adult Players and First Juvenile Players in a family €100.00
A €10 reduction is applied for each subsequent underage player in the same family.
All other Members including coaches/officers/committee members: €75.00
Social Membership: €30.00
All players must pay their membership prior to undertaking any club activities as you are not covered for any injuries prior to membership being paid.

Castletroy College:
Hard luck to Castletroy College Senior Hurlers who were defeated by Hamilton High School Bandon by the narrowest of margins last Tuesday after a titantic tussle.

Our All Ireland Intermediate Champions:
Our Hurlers continue to give of their time for our under age hurlers. They visited our u7 and u9 hurlers last Friday night with the Munster and All Ireland Cups. The lads posed for some photos as well as giving some very useful tips to the next generation of Monaleen Hurlers.

Monaleen GAA Easter Camps 2023:
Easter camps are taking place over the two weeks of the Easter school holidays.
The hurling camp is running from Wednesday the 5th of April until Friday the 7th of April.
The football camp is running from Tuesday the 11th of April until Thursday the 13th of April.
Cost of this is €60 per child per camp.

Camogie and Ladies Football teams are back out training and are always happy to welcome new players to each age group. Catering for girls aged U6 to adult, if your daughter is interested in starting either or both of these sports, please do get in touch. (Please see attached poster),
Our community walks will continue from Monaleen clubhouse on Monday evenings at 7.15pm with the route incorporating the Castletroy Urban Greenway. So download the app, register now and get walking!

We have partnered up with *SportsKey* to manage our Pitch & facilities booking.
This will streamline our booking system and remove the need to book via WhatsApp , text, emails, call etc.
Coaches need to log in and create a username & password via the below link.
Choose the slot you need and complete the booking.
Trainings are 1 Hour slot.
Matches/blitz are 1.5 Hour Slots
The booking is only complete when you receive a confirmation approval from the administrator.
Championship fixtures will be inputted when released in the spring. Championship as always will override trainings. It’s the responsibility of the coaches to monitor the calendar to ensure they are up to speed with changes.
