GAA CLUB REGISTRATION: it’s that time of year again when we begin to ask parents to pay their child’s membership. However, with the move to Foireann as the main GAA system, we will be synchronising the juvenile and adult registration to one single calendar year system, as per GAA requirements. Therefore we will not be requesting you to pay for your children until nearer the end of this year, and then annually every December in advance of the next calendar year. If you paid in September 2020 your child is covered to play and train until the end of this year. New age groups which start in September this year will not have to pay until December. We will let you know as soon as registration opens. Thank you for your co-operation, Caroline, Keenan, Paul, Audrey.
LOTTO: The latest Lotto draw took place on Thursday, September 2 with the jackpot standing at €20,000. The numbers drawn were 6, 22, 34 and 35. Winners of the €50 lucky dips were M. Nash, Newtown Park; A Scully, Glanntan; A. Mulcair, Riverbank. Thank you for your continued support.
CAMOGIE
MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP: Best of luck to our minor team who take on Newcastlewest at home this Wednesday 08 Sept in the A Championship semi final, time to be confirmed.
U12 LEAGUE: Well done to our U12 team who travelled to Mungret last week for a highly entertaining and competitive game in the County League. Next up is Adare at home on Tues 7th, throw in 6:45pm at Clubhouse pitch.
U10 GROUP: After a very busy summer of games, our u10s had a slightly earlier return to play than expected after a couple of weeks off when we were invited out to Caherelly to play St. Ailbes in a challenge game on Monday August 31st. We travelled out with two teams, supplemented with five of our u9s, for two fine games against our hosts. As with all our games this year, the girls showed great skill and fought hard for each other from start to finish.
With all our schools back this week, we also resumed our regular Thursday and Saturday training sessions with great numbers in attendance on both days allied with the customery enthusiasm we’ve come to expect from the group.
LIMERICK CAMOGIE: U14 development blitz. Well done to the Monaleen players on the Limerick U14 teams who won the Cup at the A Munster blitz and also won the shield at the B Munster blitz.
