MUNSTER FINAL TICKETS: We have not yet been notified of our ticket allocation for this weekend’s Munster hurling final between Limerick and Tipperary at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Tickets will be allocated to club members only. To be included in the draw, please text only to our Club Secretary on 085 8467810, with your name, before 6pm this Wednesday, 14th July.
BEST OF LUCK: Best of luck to the Limerick senior hurlers who face Tipperary in the Munster senior hurling final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Sunday at 4.15pm. Monaleen’s Paul Kinnerk is coach to the Limerick senior hurlers once again this year. Sunday’s game is live on RTE2 TV.
MUNSTER CHAMPIONSHIP: Commiserations to Monaleen’s Donal O’Sullivan, Brian Donovan and Luke Murphy who are members of the Limerick senior football squad which lost out to Cork in the Munster senior football championship semi-final at the LIT Gaelic Grounds on Saturday. Donal is joint-captain of the Limerick side this year.
BEST OF LUCK: Best of luck to Monaleen’s Donnacha O’Dálaigh and Ronan Lyons who are members of the Limerick squad which will be in action on Monday next, July 19 when they play Clare in the Munster championship semi-final in the LIT Gaelic Grounds at 8.05pm. The game will be live on TG4.
SENIOR FOOTBALL: Best of luck to Monaleen who are in the City senior football league final this Thursday night, July 15, when they face Claughaun in Mungret at 7.30pm. Admission €10 Euro tickets at the gate.

Well done to Julie Lavelle, Nicola Donohoe and their Healthy Club team of AnneMarie Guiry, Maria Kinsella, Scott Murphy and Yvonne Sheehan, and everyone who contributed to this venture. LADIES FOOTBALL UPDATE:
BUSY TIME: Another busy week for Monaleen Ladies Football, our U12s played Mungret on Saturday and our U8s and U10s hosted St Ailbes and Oola on Wednesday. The older teams were also out on Wednesday, the U14 team had a good win over Gerald Griffins and the Minors played Ahane. Well done to all. On Sunday the U16 team play St. Ailbes and our Junior Ladies play Galtee Gaels. Best of luck to all the teams and to Rachel O’Dell and the Limerick Ladies who play Wicklow at 2pm on Sunday.
CAMOGIE NEWS:
JUNIOR SUMMER LEAGUE: Our Junior Team enjoyed their first win of the League campaign away to Granagh Ballingarry. The match was played in Bruree on Friday evening. After a competitive first period Monaleen led by 1 point at the water break. The remainder of the half was dominated by Monaleen with goals from Ella McCarthy and Aine Hegarty putting our girls in a strong position. Some great point scoring from Grace Malone was a highlight of the performance but all 16 girls put in a great team performance to win by 3-10 to 1-4. U16 CHAMPIONSHIP: Our final group game in the U16A Championship ended in defeat to a very strong Newcasle West side. Monaleen girls started well and with an early goal they led at the first water break.
All the girls continued to battle hard in the second quarter and went into half-time leading by a point. A very tight 3rd quarter and brave defending saw both sides scoring only one point each.
In the final quarter, the Newcastle West girls finished strongly and scored 1-06 without reply. Monaleen U16’s next match is in the Plate Semi-Final against Cappamore on Tuesday 12th July. U10 COUNTY LEAGUE: Well done to our U10 girls who travelled to Adare on Thursday evening for the U10 County League. Well done to our U9 team who also played Adare U9 on Thursday also. Almost 40 girls from Monaleen got some game time on Thursday, great to see these girls enjoying their camogie so much.
U8 COUNTY BLITZ: The U’8s had a great day of camogie in Monaleen this Sunday. We had 22 girls in attendance with all players playing very well over their 4 games. Many thanks to our guests, Galbally, who brought in 21 girls. This was the panels 3rd blitz & the girls are progressing very well with all girls enjoying the action. Onwards & upwards for these girls. Well done all with particular thanks to the parents for their ongoing support. U12 CHALLENGE: Well done to our U12 girls braved the weather conditions on Sunday evening to play against Crecora in a challenge game. Great to see this team progressing so well in all of these games.
LIMERICK CAMOGUE: Best of luck to Amy Burke & Ella Hession & Limerick Minor Team who are through to the Munster final after beating Clare in the Munster semi final last Tuesday. A great link up between the Monaleen duo saw Amy Burke add a goal to her point from play earlier. Limerick now meet Cork in the Munster Final on Tues 13th.
