CAMOGIE NOTES
INTERMEDIATE SUMMER LEAGUE: The Intermediate League continued on Monday evening with a home match v Cappamore. Monaleen struggled on the night to get up to the pace of the game against a strong Cappamore team. A good defensive display kept the girls in touch but Monaleen failed to create enough scoring chances to ever look like winning the game. Result: Monaleen 0-4 Cappamore 1-8. The Intermediate girls were out again on Friday with an away game against Bruff. It proved to be a difficult night for hurling with heavy rain resulting in a game with plenty of handling errors and a constant battle for possession. 2 goals in the first half from Ruth Heavy and Aine Doyle proved decisive with Monaleen winning on a scoreline of 2-4 to 0-5.
