Limerick scored a big win over Offaly in the Allianz Hurling League Round Two game play this afternoon in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park, Tullamore with a 1.24 to 0.10 scoreline, the win keeps the hopes alive for the push for promotion with two wins from two outings

In Round Three to be played on Saturday week February 17 Limerick will host Dublin in the Gaelic Grounds at 7pm, a game that will be live on eir Sport.

The early stages of the game today were evenly contested and the sides were level 0 .04 each after 15 minutes of play, with Aaron the Limerick scorer, 0.03 from frees and 0.01 from play, but by the interval the visitors had raced into a 0.12 to 0.07, Offaly had a penalty shot go wide of the post midway through the opening half that saw 4 Yellow Cards being shown, two to each side.

Limerick continued on the resumption of play as they finished the opening half, just after ten of of play in the second half, Limerick were ahead 0.15 to 0.08 when Offaly had a player dismissed for a second yellow card infringement. After twenty minutes of second half play Limerick had increased their lead to 1.18 to 0.08, the goal coming from Aaron Gillane two minutes earlier.
